It’s hard to put in words what Drew Brophy represents to the surf art world.
From noRep's inception, we’ve always been a brand with strong focus on art. It was just a matter of time until we teamed up with the father of surf art as we know it.
Drew has done some of the most recognizable in the industry. We first approached him via email, got a hold of Maria (Drew’s Wife), she was a pleasure to deal with and then we started working with Drew on the design… It wasn't easy, we needed to find something that would represent both of us in the most perfect way. We put a lot of time and effort into it, but most than anything passion. And we created some sick boardshorts that we are really proud of.
An avid big wave surfer and world traveler, Brophy’s career exploded in the late 1990’s when he began painting his artwork onto surfboards. Now his art is printed on hundreds of products and his original artwork is collected worldwide.
An early adopter of standup paddle surfing, Brophy helped spread the sport through his adventure travels. He and Seth Warren were the first to standup paddle the entire 225 miles of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.
